What We Believe

At Grace Temple Baptist Church, we are a Southern Baptist church committed to loving God, loving people, and sharing the hope of Jesus Christ.

The Bible
We believe the Bible is God’s Word—true, trustworthy, and the final authority for our faith and daily life.

God
We believe in one true God who exists as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He created everything and rules with love and power.

Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus is God’s Son. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead, and offers eternal life to everyone who trusts in Him.

Salvation
We believe salvation is a free gift from God. It’s received by grace through faith in Jesus—not by anything we can do on our own.

The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit lives in every believer. He gives us strength, guides us in truth, and helps us grow to be more like Jesus.

The Church
We believe the church is the body of Christ. All believers are part of it. We gather to worship, serve, grow in faith, and share the Gospel with others.

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We believe baptism by immersion shows our new life in Christ. The Lord’s Supper reminds us of Jesus’ sacrifice and His promise to return.

The Great Commission
We believe Jesus calls us to go and make disciples—starting in our community and reaching to the ends of the earth.

Eternal Life
We believe heaven and hell are real. Everyone will spend eternity in one or the other. Those who trust in Jesus will live forever with Him in heaven.

Our Affiliation
Grace Temple Baptist Church affirms the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 and is joyfully affiliated with the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention.
